CAKE WASH DECONSTRUCTION WORKS /
PROJECT SUMMARY
Part of a de-bottlenecking project, the miner required deconstruction of the existing cake wash facility – wet processing, water circuits, screening, scrubbing and WHIMS.
SCOPE
Removal of legacy PLC logic and associated control sequences, followed by network re-patching to optimise communication pathways and maintain system integrity.
Update functional specifications to reflect revised operational requirements and developed a formal PLC/SCADA decommissioning plan.
Produce detailed test documentation for validation of system changes and red-lined electrical and communication drawings to capture as-bult conditions.
Manage the entire process under a strict Management of Change (MOC) framework to ensure traceability and risk mitigation.
Conducted a CHAZOP to review to identify and address potential hazards in the revised control strategy.
Completed onsite commissioning, including verification of hardware, software and network configurations.
