Project Overview
Tier16 delivered SCADA software development and implementation support for an integrated energy utility spanning generation, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and virtual power plants.
Tier16 engineers are embedded within Synergy’s engineering team, adding specialist Ignition SCADA capability and delivery capacity across thermal generation, BESS projects, and DER-based VPPs.​
Working within client-led project teams, they support SCADA design, development, integration, testing, commissioning, documentation and operator training.
Client Challenge
The client needed to strengthen internal Ignition SCADA capability across thermal generation, two BESS projects and DER-based VPPs. They also wanted to balance concurrent project delivery with ongoing BAU support; and​ leverage Tier Sixteen’s project-focused delivery methodology to expand project capacity without compromising BAU support.​

Tier16 added dedicated project capacity while enabling the client’s engineers to maintain BAU support commitments​.
​The team helped to accelerate design, development, integration and commissioning across the project portfolio​ as well as supported testing, validation, documentation, training and AEMO and Western Power integration​.
